As a relationship coach, many of his unfiltered teachings spark viral gender-role debates online. He has repeatedly spoken out against the culture of women expecting potential partners to pay for their lifestyle (bills, hair, maintenance) during the dating phase, arguing that courtship should focus on character and compatibility over financial transactions. His traditional biblical stance on submission in marriage and headship often clashes with contemporary egalitarian and feminist perspectives, leading to ongoing social media criticism. Additionally, he sparked backlash by advising women not to ignore men who reach out to them and suggesting they give receptive suitors a chance rather than holding out exclusively for their ideal preference. A couple of years back, Nigerian blogger Stella Dimorkokus used her platform to link up singles for free. Another influencer, Joro Olumofin, also offered a similar pro bono service before he started charging as low as N10,000 for the service. It is not clear if his price has been inflated. Lege Miami, a Yoruba actor, appears to be heavily milking the Nigerian relationship market as he rakes in money through his match-making exercise. Where does Pastor Kingsley go from here?
