 NIGERIA NEEDS MORE OPERATORS.

Nigeria does not just need more entrepreneurs.

We need more operators.

People who can take an idea and get it done.

People who can:

* Get things done

* Coordinate people

* Follow up

* Solve problems

* Build systems

* Coach people

* Turn plans into results

Starting a business is one skill.

Building and running the business is another.

As companies grow, the CEO cannot do everything.

Someone has to take responsibility.

Someone has to coordinate the team.

Someone has to make sure the plan becomes reality.

Someone has to look at what is not working and fix it.

Someone that can disagree with the CEO (respectfully because there’s a better way).

And so many CEOs/MDs/Business Owners (they are reading this post) are looking for this person.

That person may be the:

GM.

MD.

BM. (Business Manager, Branch Manager).

COO.

Head of Operations.

The title may be different.

But the job is the same: Be the Co-ordinator.

Make things happen.

I think we need to talk more about these people.

Because building companies is not only about the person who starts the company.

It is also about the people who help the company work, grow and get better.
